Cross-country ski trail Aeschiried

Description
The starting point is at the PostAuto terminus Aeschiried Schulhaus. A few steps bring the cross-country skier to the trail, the rental station, and the counter for the cross-country ski pass. In classic or skating technique, it first goes over a hilly meadow towards Suldtal. The view of the mountains around Aeschiried is breathtaking from here. Slowly the valley narrows, you are enveloped by silence, enchanted by the idyllic surroundings and occasional sunbeams that wander into this cool winter landscape. The still largely untouched mountain valley at the foot of the Morgenberghorn is a nature reserve. Black grouse, chamois, and deer roam through the forests and over meadows where orchids and gentians bloom abundantly in spring, and a pair of golden eagles circles above. The winter sportsman, however, follows the skating trail and must allow for a short breather during one or another ascent, while the classic track partly follows the Suldbach, which plunges about 80 meters into a basin just above Suld. Arriving in Suld at the guesthouse Suld, which unfortunately is not open in winter, the trail now climbs steeply uphill, ending after several curves in Obersuld. Here is the turning point and it is worth pausing briefly. Majestically, the mountains rise around the observer and the silence is unsurpassable. The way back follows the same path, now faster downhill to the Pochtenfall and then back on the hilly road to Aeschiried. Tired but with many impressions in your luggage, the cross-country skier returns from this experience.
A special experience is cross-country skiing on the 4 km long, illuminated night trails which are automatically lit from Monday to Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
