Crappa Grossa circular hike

Description
The hike starts at the bridge over the Rhine at Cumpadials and leads you along the right bank of the Rhine towards Disentis. After passing the natural path, the spectacular part begins. The timber-constructed section was completely rebuilt in 2021 to bypass the right flank towards the Rhine, which was slipping. It leads you zigzag uphill to the highest point and then downhill through a moss-covered path to the Grappa Grossa (large stones) and further to the hydroelectric power plant at the foot of the wild Russeinertobel. From here you have a spectacular view up to the three bridges of the Val Russein. Afterwards, the Rhine bridge at Pardomat is crossed. On the other side of the river, the path leads you along a side road back to Pardomat Dado. You pass through the floodplain forest of the wild "Darguns" (wild brook) Dadens and Dado and reach the hamlet of Falens before returning to the starting point.
The circular route can also be walked in the opposite direction or from Disentis via Madernal.
WARNING: The timber path is not suitable for bikers!
