Description
Start Post Versam. The hiking trail to Fahn branches off left near Neuhof. From the bench at Pt. 1007 there is a beautiful view over the Usserdorf, the church, and the Calanda. The Maiensäss Fahn is characterised by gentle hills and barns. Until the mid-19th century, this landscape terrace was a settlement inhabited by five families. The path continues through the forest to Summergada, the first farm in Arezen, a typical Walser scattered settlement. Here the view opens up to the front Safien valley. Partly on the hiking trail, partly on the ferry path, we reach Fatscha (post bus stop). The waiting time for the post bus can be used to visit the millstones left of the bridge near the tunnel entrance. After a stretch on the valley road, continue via the Buel farm along a meadow path to Türli Pt. 934 and from there on the former cart track to Versam, where the garden tavern of the Gasthaus Rössli awaits at the village entrance.
Note(s) Post bus stop Fatscha in Arezen: departures towards Versam about every 2 hours. Shopping opportunity in the village shop Versam. Food and accommodation: Gasthaus Rössli. Medical practice in Haus Signina opposite the post office. Suitable for family hiking. Before or after the hike, a visit to the church of Versam is worthwhile.
