Circular hike on the trail of Schellen-Ursli

The children's story "Schellen-Ursli" was originated in Guarda and also takes place here. The circular hike leads from Guarda via Bos-cha to Ardez and offers repeated wide views over Ardez towards Tarasp with the castle in front of the mighty Lower Engadine Dolomites. On the opposite valley side, Sur En d'Ardez can already be clearly seen. The tour leads here after crossing the Inn below Ardez. In Sur En d'Ardez most of the filming for the feature film "Schellen-Ursli" was done in winter 2014/15. Although the film sets have meanwhile disappeared and given way to the original village image, Schellen-Ursli fans immediately recognize Sur En as the Engadine village from the film. At the western end of Sur En, the route leads alternating through the forest and over clearings to below Giarsun, where the Inn is crossed again. Several scenes of the movie were also filmed in Giarsun. The church served as the setting for a central scene of the film. After visiting the church, you can choose to walk back up to Guarda or comfortably take the post bus from the station back to the starting point of the tour.
