Description

At the starting point of the hike at the Linden Dorf bus stop, head in the direction of Aebersold. After a short level stretch on a road, first ascend on a field path, then off-trail across a pasture, and finally on a footpath along the forest up to the Churzenberg height. To the west and north, the Ulmizberg and Bantiger can be seen; in clear weather, the Jura is also visible. Now follow the signpost indication to Chuderhüsi. Initially flat, then rising and winding, a road leads to a resting place at the edge of the forest. The view stretches over the Pre-Alps up to Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The following section up to Ringgis runs through forest. After the Ringgis mountain restaurant, turn off at the rest area onto the shaded path towards Mühleseilen. This allows avoiding sections with hard surfaces. In the hamlet of Mühleseilen, continue straight ahead, reach the forest, and shortly take a footpath into the forest. Briefly ascending, then on a level path, the trail leads to the Chuderhüsi Tea-Room. Several benches show that this area is popular with excursionists. Now continue hiking to Röthenbach. Over footpaths briefly in the forest, then along the forest edge, on a road and across pastures, descend to the farmstead named Paradiesli. Soon Würzbrunnen is reached. The church is probably around 1000 years old. Scenes from the filming of Gotthelf novels were shot here. Today, countless weddings take place here. First on a field path, then on a trail descend to Röthenbach aiming for the Röthenbach Dorf bus stop.
