Description
A simple but very beautiful hike to the Chamerstock. From here you have a wonderful view of Braunwald and the Grosstal from a different perspective.
The hike starts from the Fisetengrat, which you can easily reach in a few minutes from Urnerboden by the Fisetenbahn. The path leads directly east over the Fisetengrat. On the left you see the Jägerstöcke, on the right the Fisetenalp with a hut, soon the Linth-Limmern reservoir, then the Tödi and from the Chamerstock every Glarus village up to Schwanden. The return route leads back to the cable car or downhill to the Alp Wängi and further over the forest road to the postal bus stops Sonne or Urnerboden Dorf.
From the Fisetengrat to the Chamerstock takes about one hour. From the Chamerstock back to Urnerboden via Alp Wängi about another 2 hours. Those who do not like walking downhill can shorten the return journey by cable car.
