Description

From Cevio to Bignasco you follow the cycle path, off the road. After the suspension bridge, there is a short stretch on gravel path (approx. 200 m). If you prefer, you can change to the main road before the bridge to avoid the gravel. Up to Foroglio, known for its impressive waterfall, it is a continuous climb with various flat sections. After the steep climb to Roseto with a 7% gradient, you can loosen your legs on the next 1.5 kilometres. The last 4 kilometres from La Bóla (km 11.5) are really tough, especially between Sonlerto and Ganariente. In San Carlo you have the option of going up to the cable car station Robiei and doing a few extra kilometres. The short ascent is about 1.5 kilometres and presents again a steep gradient of 9% what makes it the perfect finish. There are several restaurants along the valley.

  • Average Gradient: 5%

  • Ascent from Cavergno: 11.65 km

  • Altitude difference from Cavergno: +591 m/- 10 m
