Description
The hike starts in Büsserach and first leads to the Thierstein Castle ruins, which majestically perch on a rocky outcrop. The ruins can be visited in the summer on the last Sunday of each month and there is a festival tavern. Right after the castle the path becomes steep and challenging. It leads over a wooden staircase to the ridge path, where surefootedness is required. The ridge trail runs along the 83rd Solothurn forest hike through various forest and rock formations. Along the way there are repeatedly wide views to the north and up to Hohe Winde.
This is a hike from the book "60 Short Tours around the Laufener Basin". With the hiking book, the beauty of the Folded Jura can be discovered on short hikes. It invites hikers to discover the diverse beauty of the Folded Jura around the Laufener Basin. With practical tips and a wealth of information, readers are encouraged to be inspired by the enchanting nature and the magnificent landscape.
