Cassons - Segnesböden - Segnes

The FlemXpress will take you to the starting point at Cassons station. From there, follow the ridge slightly downhill to the water outlet at the southern end of the upper Segnesboden. Now there is a slight climb to La Siala, at the foot of the mighty Atlas. It is worth pausing here for a moment. The view of the Tschingelhörner and the famous Martinsloch is phenomenal.

The following crossing into the wide basin is challenging. Stay focused: the path is narrow and exposed. You will soon reach the fork in the path, where the ascent would continue uphill to the Segnes Pass. However, you turn left here downhill and soon reach the lower Segnesboden.

Here you are in a protected and unique high moor landscape. Please stay on the paths. The nature here is extremely sensitive.

The tour ends at the Segnes Hut, where you can enjoy a well-deserved snack and rest on the sunny terrace. From Segnes, you can take the mountain railway to Flims to save your energy.
