Buochserhorn - Bleikigrat - Musenalp

We started at the Niederrickenbach mountain station heading north over the Bleikigraben and through the Hüetlerentobel with several small streams. We follow the partly muddy path to the upper Ochsenweid. Soon we reach the point shown in the photo and admire the view of Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee). Incredibly beautiful. The last steep elevation meters are quickly conquered. Below the large summit cross we enjoy our picnic and later descend steeply southwards. The path is very slippery, and we make use of our hiking poles. But not for long, because over the rocky Bleikigrat we use hands and feet to climb. Soon the green meadow with thousands of crocuses opens up before us. Here we also cross a snowfield, overcome the Musenalp ridge, and return to the cozy Musenalp terrace for a beer.
