Bütschelegg – always worth a hike

On the signpost at the starting point of the hike, the destination Riggisberg is already indicated. After a few meters on Längenbergstrasse, turn right and immediately left. Passing the farms Riederweid and Unteres Rattenholz, you reach Ratteholz. Here a look back to Niedermuhlern is worthwhile. Now the ascent in the forest to Bütschelegg begins. Upon leaving the forest, the excursion restaurant Bütschelegg appears. With good visibility, you can see the Bernese Prealps and High Alps from the triangulation signal. The hike continues on a short stretch of road and then turns right. Here you come across a bench of the MUSSE:UM deceleration trail. This offering from the Gantrisch Regional Nature Park invites you to linger, relax, and enjoy. Further on, it goes steeply downhill on grass and a field path to Oberbütschel, past the village and a short stretch on the cantonal road. Then turn left to cross the Taanwald. Shortly after leaving the forest, you reach Hasli. At the exit of Hasli, turn left onto the road.

After the Bauernhof Ey, a rest area in a small forest offers a place to stay. To the destination Riggisberg, Post, you continue along roads and a staircase. Riggisberg is a regional center. Various businesses are located here, as well as several service providers in the health and care sectors.
