Brunni - Rotenflue circular hike

Description
From Brunni, first take the cable car leisurely to the starting point of the easy circular hike at Holzegg, directly at the restaurant. Taking the cable car is especially recommended when hiking with small children, as it saves you about a 1-hour, 300 m ascent.
From Holzegg, you have an impressive view of the Schwyz basin with Lake Lucerne and Lake Lauerz, and on the right, the rocky walls of the Grosser Mythen impress. In the other direction, you look toward Brunni, the village of Alpthal, and further away the monastery village of Einsiedeln.
Our circular hiking route now goes left, past the pretty mountain chapel and soon on the right past the next inn or accommodation, the Skihaus Holzegg. Above the Skihaus, the path leads through a rather steep wooded area and then left behind the Rotenflue, past alpine pastures to the Zwäcken alpine farm, where the view opens up again. This time toward the Schwyz and Muotatal mountains. Possibly refreshed, you then go back a short way and then left toward Rotenflue, the old mountain station, where breathtaking views of the Schwyz basin delight the eye. Food and drink are also available here. You could also watch the paragliders taking off for hours, who gather here in good conditions. A little further up the mountain on the right, you reach the new summit restaurant and the mountain station of the Rotenflue gondola, which accesses the Mythenregion from Rickenbach-Schwyz. Returning to the Holzegg cable car, the path leads down to the left after the mountain station again via the Skihaus to the Holzegg restaurant at the foot of the Grosser Mythen, where you might enjoy one last coffee before heading back down to the valley.
