For both the ascent to Rämisgummen, 1,257 m above sea level, and the descent from Wachthubel, 1,415 m above sea level, two equivalent options over Bernese or Lucerne territory are available. From Schangnau and from Marbach, hiking trails lead to Marbachegg and from there to Kemmeribodenbad through an intact nature and cultural landscape.
