Bondo - Capanna di Sciora

It was closed for eight years due to the landslide from Piz Cengalo: in 2025 the new path to the Sciora Hut will open. The lowest section of the route runs as before: you can start at the grottos in Bondo and ascend east of the Bundasca through the forest to Prä. Alternatively, follow the dirt road that begins at the parking lot behind Bondo’s church, crosses the Bundasca at about 1000 m, and then leads to the path to Prä. From here the route follows the old road along the valley floor for about 1 km.

Now comes the new section: the route branches off the road to the left – the path ascends and runs above the rock ledge that stretches into the valley at about 1400 m. At around 1600 m you reach the first suspension bridge. The route now crosses the steep slopes below I Mot and Piz Grand, continuously going up and down at about 1700 to 1800 m. Whenever the forest opens, there are magnificent views of the Sciora group, the Sasc Furä Hut, and the debris fields from the 2017 landslide.

Near Naravedar you reach the old hut path and follow it for the last 300 meters in elevation to the Capanna di Sciora.
