Bondo - Capanna di Sciora

It was closed for eight years due to the landslide on Piz Cengalo: the new route to the Sciora hut was opened in 2025. The lowest section of the route is the same as before: you can start at the Grotti in Bondo and climb east of the Bundäsca through the forest to Prä. Alternatively, you can follow the dirt road that starts at the parking lot behind the church in Bondo, cross the Bundäsca at an altitude of around 1000 m and then take the path to Prä. From here, the route follows the old road on the valley floor for about 1 km.

And now comes the new part: the route branches off to the left from the road - the path climbs and runs above the rocky ledge that extends into the valley at around 1400 m. The first suspension bridge awaits at around 1600 m. The route now traverses the steep slopes below I Mot and Piz Grand, steadily ascending and descending at an altitude of around 1700 to 1800 meters. Whenever the forest opens up, there are magnificent views of the Sciora group, the Sasc Furä hut and the gravel fields from the 2017 landslide.

At about Naravedar, you come to the old hut path and follow it for the last 300 meters of altitude to the Capanna di Sciora.
