Description

The Bluescht route starts at the train station in Romanshorn. There you have the opportunity to rent bikes or e-bikes. In the first half, the route steadily climbs slightly. A first intermediate destination is the Hagenwil water castle. The historic castle, whose oldest parts are about 800 years old, houses a restaurant offering fresh cuisine and regional specialties for a rest.

The route continues through extensive scattered orchards and steadily uphill to the Ruggisberg. This viewpoint with a picturesque chapel offers a magnificent panoramic view over Lake Constance. It is then not far to the highest point at Dottenwil Castle.

Through the villages of Freidorf and Roggwil, the route descends again towards Lake Constance. In Roggwil, the Huusbraui is a small brewery with an idyllic garden restaurant. A secret tip for cyclists. Finally, the route joins Lake Constance in Arbon and follows it back to the starting point in Romanshorn.
