Description
The route is mostly on the territory of the municipality of Heiligenschwendi. Here, the Bernese High Clinic for tuberculosis patients started operation in 1895. Today the clinic is a rehabilitation center. At the starting point of the route, pay attention to the Blueme signpost. Now follow a road past the clinic and a parking lot. At the Weide signpost location, turn left and ascend through a pasture. At Wolfgruebe, two routes are available; choose Blueme Teuffenthal, which initially runs along a forest road. At the junction about one kilometre later, turn right and ascend on a forest path. At the summit, there is a resting place to stop and a tower to enjoy the view. The route then continues downhill toward Tschingelallmi. After leaving the forest, the view of Lake Thun and the Alps opens, with the Niesen proudly on display. From the Tschingelallmi signpost, go straight along a pasture, through forest, and along a forest edge towards Gunten. Over the Margelsattel, reach Margel Pt. 1185 and at the next intersection turn right to Ringoldswil. Alternately flat, downhill, and uphill, the route leads over grassland, field paths, and finally a hard surface towards Ringoldswil. It is worth occasionally enjoying the changing scenery of Lake Thun and the Alps. At Chrinde Pt. 1033, turn right without significant elevation change on a hard-surfaced road. In the forest, turn left onto a footpath that descends to Schwändigrabe. Then ascend through the forest and along pastures to reach the end of the route.
