Bischolapass

Description
From the start in Safien, Carfil, we send you down immediately to the small artificial Egschi Lake and then on a varied and special tunnel section on the right side of the valley. Comparisons with the "Old Schin" between Thusis and Lenzerheide are quite appropriate. A few narrow and wide single trails alternate with long, enjoyable gravel roads. The dark tunnels and the impressive views into the depths of the Rabiusa river are unique in the Safien valley. Stopping and enjoying here is virtually mandatory.
Now follow 800 meters of altitude on the road to Alp Sura. After about two-thirds of the route, you can treat yourself to a snack at Alp Il Bot during the summer season - which can be quite motivating.
Alp Sura is the start for crossing the sunny slopes of the Heinzenberg. Often you can enjoy it on alp roads. But there are also longer, demanding trails. Sometimes horizontal, sometimes with exhausting short climbs. At the Maiensäss Parsiras stands the mountain inn Parsiras, inviting you to a refreshment break. As soon as you reach Pascuminersee, it is not far to Bischola Lake and the upcoming steep single trail descent back into the Safien valley. Those who want to refresh again can do so at Alpbeizli Bischola during the summer. The trail is partly flowing to ride, but also quite demanding in parts. Once back in the valley floor, the route leads over the partly demanding trail of the Walserweg back to the starting point by Egschi Lake.
