Description

Just below Brigels, you can already experience the first 500 meters descent on trails. They are not too difficult but still offer some challenges. As soon as the fun is over, you ride along bike route no. 2 by the Rhine until shortly before Trun. Here you turn off the main road to the idyllic village of Zignau. That’s the fun. On the regularly ascending gravel road, it goes along the “Alpine Bike No. 1” to “Boden.” Now comes a short piece of trails that must be partly pushed. After the stream bridge, you can continue on a gravel road and cruise through Hanschahüs, Chriegli, and Canterdü down to Obersaxen. Just after crossing the large road bridge, comes a super fun trail towards Schwarzenstein castle ruins. Only a small signpost points it out. Lay the bike down in the grass and climb along the stirrups to the ruins. You will be overwhelmed by the view. The further side roads are wonderful to ride. Shortly below Markal, the route turns off onto a rough gravel road that gradually becomes narrower and soon has single trail character. Enjoy the fast downhill with 500 meters descent down to the Rhine. Now it goes along the Poland path over the wooden bridge near Rueun. Until Waltensburg, you have to master about 400 meters ascent. At the valley station of the chairlifts, we lead the route again over a single trail and a forest road. Those who don’t feel like this can just take the road over Migliè back to Brigels.
