Description

Hiking and wellness of a special kind, in a wooden tub under the open sky. From the Mettmen mountain station, we hike through the Freiberg Kärpf, the oldest wildlife sanctuary in Europe, up to the Berglimatt lakes. A stop is worthwhile at the romantic Berglimatt lakes to enjoy the magnificent panorama.

Did you know that about 250-300 million years ago there was intense volcanic activity in the Kärpf area? The green Verrucano rocks deposited there reveal this.

After the mountain lakes, the hike descends relatively steeply towards Matt. At Berglialp, we are greeted by the Berglialp panorama hut with the unique bathing pleasure in a wood-heated larch wood tub. From hay flower, lavender to mare's milk baths, you can relax wonderfully in the open nature and afterwards feel as if reborn. Whoever wants can book the whole package including an overnight stay. Otherwise, take the descent down to Matt on foot.
