Belchen tour

The almost 1,500 meters of elevation gain will tax your stamina, but the reward is the many views and the relative remoteness of the tour. It leads through many unknown small villages in the Basel region with lovely places to stop for refreshments. Don't miss the short detour to the Belchenfluh, something like the Matterhorn for the people of Basel. On a clear day, you can even see Mont Blanc, exactly 175 km away, from the 1099-metre-high rocky peak. Anyone who spends a few minutes on the summit is revitalized. It's called a place of power!
