Description
Whether you arrive by train, PostBus, bus, steam train, or car – you start your hike at Bauma train station. Here, the steam train hall, rebuilt according to historical models and richly decorated, bears witness to the time of industrialization when the pioneer Adolf Guyer-Zeller stayed in Bauma. You follow the right bank of the Töss river upstream to the second bridge, which you cross. The entrance to the forest is steep, but soon the incline eases and you follow the forest ridge to Heiletsegg. Over the 'Chlihörnli' you climb the last part of the path to the summit, where breathtaking views and tempting specialties await. The terrace of the Hörnli mountain inn invites you to sunbathe and for groups, the Hörnli team organizes a special breakfast buffet at sunrise as well as great scooter descents by full moon.
The descent follows the easily passable path over the Tanzplatz to Steg. Follow the signs with the Switzerland Mobility route sign 4. End the route at the headquarters of the Voland bakery in Steg. The cozy café spoils you with fresh specialties.
