Description
At the starting point of the hike at Walkringen train station, first follow the Rüttihubelbad sign. At the southern end of the station area, cross the railway line and shortly thereafter turn left onto a field road. This leads along the Biglebach. Information boards provide explanations about the themed trail Moospfad. At Wikartswilmoos, turn right and climb on a forestry road. Shortly afterward, a path branches off to the left and leads to Rüttihubelbad. The foundation of the same name operates a cultural and conference center here, a retirement and nursing home with a social therapeutic community, and finally the Sensorium.
In the Sensorium, everything revolves around activating sensory perception. The route now leads towards Worb, briefly downhill and then right into the forest of Worbberg. First ascending, then flat and finally descending, you pass two rest areas to the Hasli farmstead. Here, turn left and continue descending along the forest edge. Soon you reach the Eggwald. Flat and later descending, you arrive at the destination of the hike, Worb Dorf train station. Worb is referred to as the gateway to Emmental. It comprises both urban-looking settlements like Rüfenacht and hamlets that have retained their rural character. The castle is considered the landmark of Worb but is privately owned.
