Description
The start of the mountain bike route is in Andeer. The path leads along the Hinterrhein to Clugin, where the actual ascent begins. From here, a steady climb follows on a lightly trafficked asphalt road up to Wergenstein.
The road continues towards Mathon and then branches off towards Curtginatsch/Curtginatsch. The climb of around 1400 meters in elevation is almost exclusively on paved road and can be somewhat monotonous and boring over time.
Tip: Buy alpine cheese at Alp Curtginatsch at 2,272 m above sea level and stop at Alp Nurdagn. By the way, Alp Curtginatsch is the highest cow alp with cheese production in Europe.
From Alp Nurdagn there is now a long forest road downhill, which ends in a flowing S1 singletrail. Occasionally there are a few rougher spots, but all rideable. The trail now goes up and down to Promischur. From here it continues in a mix of gravel path and flowing S1 singletrail. At the end, there is a long gravel road back to Andeer.
If you are looking for a route with technical trail fun, this is not the right one. However, the route has a lot to offer in terms of scenery and is ideal for e-mountain bikes and enthusiasts.
