Alpine Cheese Trail Stage Blackenalp

Description
The first "short-cut option" arises already in the village. Right opposite the starting point at the monastery's demonstration dairy is the bus stop. From there, regular buses run to the valley station of the Fürenalp cable car. Those who want to walk can follow the path along the Aawasser to the end of the valley. The Fürenalp cable car quickly and easily ascends the 800 meters elevation to Fürenalp. From there, the hiking trail leads for about an hour first slightly downhill then slightly uphill to Blackenalp. The path is embedded in the beautiful mountain landscape. Fine alpine cheese is produced and sold at Blackenalp. But one should not eat too much yet – on the way back, the Surenen alpine dairy awaits. From the Surenen alpine dairy, the cable car shortens the descent to Stäfeli (also with direct alpine cheese sales). Via Alpenrösli, one reaches Herrenrüti on a wide gravel path, where the asphalt road leads back to the Fürenalp station.
Please note that depending on weather conditions (snow cover), not all alpine dairies may be staffed in June and that from mid-October the alp areas are no longer managed.
