Aela

Short route from Maloja with breathtaking views of the Engadin lakes, ideal for a summer evening hike.  

The hike leads from Maloja along the lake towards Isola. At the junction between Isola and Val Fedoz, it goes slightly uphill towards Ca d'Starnam. After about twenty meters, leave the gravel road and turn right to follow an ascending path up to the Aela. From the summit, you can return the same way or continue towards Val Forno - Salecina and descend northwest back to Maloja.
