Description

From the Homberg, the Aargau Rigi, the path leads northwards to Dürrenäsch, where the Wild Fruit Arboretum can be visited. The Reinach Homberg with its observation tower at 788 m above sea level is not called the Aargau Rigi for nothing. From the tower platform, you can enjoy the view of Lake Hallwil and Lake Baldegger and a beautiful panoramic view from the Western Alps to Säntis and further to the Jura hills. The route always leads northwards, crossing at Wandflue (Wampfle) the road which connects the Wynental with the Seetal from Zetzwil. Soon you reach Dürrenäsch, the village situated on the watershed between the two valleys. Here it is worth visiting the Wild Fruit Arboretum Seetal located above the village, where a systematic collection of wild fruit species from Switzerland includes all European wild fruit types and their varieties, presented to a broad audience.
