9 Lake Route Gstaad - Spiez

The bike route leads from Gstaad to Spiez through the picturesque landscape of the Saanenland and Simmental. After a short, steep ascent from Gstaad, the route follows a steady descent towards Zweisimmen, crossing the Montreux Oberland Railway several times. Along the way, there are magnificent views of the mountains, traditional wooden chalets, and lush meadows with Simmental cows.

From Zweisimmen, the route follows the Simme river, passing impressive Simmental farmhouses with ornate facades. After Wimmis, the Simme flows into the Kander, before the route leads over a bike bridge to Spiez on Lake Thun.
