Description
For centuries, the Glaspass was the gateway to the outside world for the inhabitants of the Safiental. Only with the construction of the access road in 1885 from Thalkirch to Versam did the valley open up from the north and the importance of the Glaspass diminished.
From Glaspass, the route climbs steep alpine pastures up to the Glasergrat with magnificent views of the surrounding mountain ranges. A short descent follows before continuing on long mountain trails over Lüschalp to Bischolsee. While the idyllic Bischolsee is protected, the slightly lower Pascuminersee invites a refreshing dip. The path ascends pleasantly over Alp Bischola to Tguma at 2,163 m asl, the highest point of the hike with stunning panoramic views. Along the Heinzenberger ridge, a narrow panoramic trail leads to Präzer Höhi.
Finally, the descent continues over Präzer Alp to Präz, where the return journey to Thusis can be relaxed by PostAuto.
