Description

The recreational area Brambrüesch can be reached directly from the Grisons capital Chur by a modern gondola lift. The high plateau is a popular destination for hiking and mountain biking in summer and offers winter sports in the cold season. During the first part of the ascent, you hike over picturesque alpine landscapes and admire the mountain panorama on the left side with the mountains around Arosa, the Schanfigg, and Lenzerheide. At the Spundissee, the view shifts to the other side. The Tödi towers on the horizon, and during the further ascent, the opposite Calanda massif and the Ringelspitz dominate the scenery. The Dreibündenstein at 2160m marks the common border point of the former three Rhaetian leagues and serves as a stone monument to the freedom fighters of Graubünden. The descent leads through an extraordinarily rich alpine flora along idyllic landscapes with forests, alpine settlements, and the mountain lake Leg Palus to the charming mountain village of Feldis. During this section, the panorama is dominated by the Heinzenberg and Piz Beverin as well as the mountains between the Safiental and the Surselva.
