603 Alpine Route

The route begins at the Tourist Office in Lenzerheide. We leave the village heading towards Obervaz. After about 300m we turn onto the Kanalweg, where we can warm up gently. After a short descent, the first climb awaits us, leading through a pleasantly cool larch forest up to Alp God. The huge pasture invites you to take a first break with views of Oberhalbstein and the impressive Piz Beverin. Then it continues still slightly ascending, over roots and stones, through grazing herds of cows and with a view of the majestic Lenzerhorn. We reach the alpine hut Fops, where Donat Malär treats us with fresh cheese and spicy bacon. The following singletrail is challenging, and whoever reaches Alp Nova without putting a foot down can call themselves a "pro". The subsequent descent to Alp Lavoz makes up for all the effort. Enjoy once more the view over the entire valley, with lake, Lenzerhorn and the three mountain peaks Ela, Mitgel, and Tinzenhorn. Alpine rose bushes and juniper shrubs line the next section, which leads us via the TV tower to the next alpine hut. From now on, it’s all downhill! First towards Sartons, where the sunny terrace of the Berghaus Sartons invites you to sunbathe and refresh. From here it goes on the road to the youth hostel Valbella, where you turn right onto the forest path and follow the descent through the nature trail to the Heidsee, which invites you to a cooling bath or a refreshing ice cream at the Lido.
