Description
The starting point of this snowshoe circular route is the community center in Lantsch/Lenz. From there, you first follow the winter hiking trail toward the Roland Arena. Upon arrival, you cross the cantonal road into the forest. Through the quiet woodland, the small lake «Lai la Villa» is reached via the winter hiking trail.
After a short break, the trail runs south along an unprepared road. At the intersection, turn left and follow the road to Vasternos. Here, snowshoers are rewarded with a magnificent mountain panorama toward Mon and Stierva.
The actual highlight of the route comes now: the Val Meltger suspension bridge. Every winter, the power of snow avalanches is evident here: annually, they tore down the old bridge, so now a suspension bridge is built twelve meters above the ground. After reaching Rofna, it goes comfortably back to the starting point in Lantsch/Lenz.
