Description
This part of the 10-lake fun takes you past four of Arosa's lakes. The entire path is over rough terrain and is therefore somewhat challenging.
Starting from Untersee, head towards Isel – there you also reach the Reservoir Lake. If you continue along the path, you will then reach Grüenseeli. On the way back, you pass by Alteinsee and can admire the impressive Altein Waterfalls. The circular hike finally brings you back to the starting point at Untersee. At each lake, you will find a sign at the outflow providing information about the respective lake.
Untersee Untersee lies at 1,691 m above sea level and is directly connected to Obersee via the Mittelbach. It is the natural bathing lake of Arosa and has a depth of 17 meters.
Reservoir Lake The Reservoir Lake, sometimes called Isel Lake, lies at 1,606 m above sea level, slightly below the village of Arosa.
Grüenseeli Grüenseeli lies at 1,811 m above sea level, surrounded by an idyllic wooded area. From the outflow of the Reservoir Lake, up the road, then through a narrow hiking trail, Grüenseeli can be reached in about 45 min.
Alteinsee Alteinsee lies at 2,251 m above sea level on Altein Tiefenberg, an alp plateau in the Strela range, south of the Arosa Reservoir Lake. Between the Alteiner Riegel and the Alteiner Fürggli, the lake offers an incomparable view of numerous mountains.
