Description

The route starts with a 900 m ascent, first on a paved road up to the Metsch, then continuing on gravel and alpine roads to Guetfläck. The view of the Simmental valley end becomes more and more impressive with the altitude gained. The panorama becomes truly spectacular when the singletrail to the Wengibärgli is taken under the studs. The Wildstrubel and the Ammertehore seem within reach. The trail winds along the elevation through the terrain to the Alp Wengibärgli. This singletrail section is rideable for experienced bikers, but the path is narrow and exposed at the beginning. Here it is recommended to briefly push the bike. This is the technically most difficult passage of the route. On an alpine road, it then goes fast down to Rezliberg. Near the Siebenbrunnen, the source of the Simme, the second climb of the route to Langermatte awaits. The steep approx. 450 m are challenging but are rewarded with a unique view towards Iffighore and Betelberg. After a rest in the mountain hut, the descent follows on a rough alpine road until the well-developed Iffigstrasse is reached at Ritzdole, which leads through Pöschenried down to Lenk.
