Description

The route over Hauderalp is partly technically very demanding, but offers a wonderful panorama of the lower Landwasser valley. After a first climb you reach Clavadel, at the entrance to the Sertig valley. A short descent leads down to the Sertigbach, where you cross the road into the well-known Sertig valley. Afterwards, the path partly leads on a singletrail over the Heidboden (barbecue area) and the Junkerboden to Spina. At Spina starts the main climb to the mountain station of the Rinerhorn cable car Jatzmeder. At the highest point of the route, accompanied by a great panorama over the Davos mountain world, you turn onto a tricky high-altitude path. This leads to Hauderalp, where the herdsman sometimes keeps fresh milk in the fountain for thirsty bikers. After a few curves on the road towards Monstein, an exciting singletrail branches off again towards Oberalp and Inneralp. From Inneralp it then goes downhill to Monstein. The catering establishments in the charming Walser village gladly welcome bikers in their garden restaurants and offer, besides the famous Monsteiner beer brewed locally, various other refreshments. After a short refreshment break, it goes further downhill over Spina to Glaris, where the valley side is changed to avoid traffic on the main road. Then it goes comfortably over Lengmatta and Frauenkirch back to Davos at the starting point by the Davos Sports Center.
