Best Time of Year
Description
A beautiful walk from Prätschli initially leads through a dreamy spruce forest up to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn aerial cableway. On this first part of the hike, you have a great view towards the alpine settlement Medergen west of the Strelakette. From the quiet of the forest, you reach the lively ski area, where the Arosa Bear Land is also located. The path continues right through the snow sports area, past the Bergkirchli and the local history museum, and finally into the village of Innerarosa. A visit to the church from the year 1493 is worthwhile: it is the oldest building in Arosa. From this contemplative place, you enjoy a view of the Erzhorn, Arosa’s coat of arms symbol, and the highest mountain in the region, the Aroser Rothorn (2,980 m above sea level). In the historic museum, you learn all about the history of this Engadine mountain village – a great day program even in snowfall. Along the way, various restaurants and mountain huts invite you for refreshments.
