Description
From the Brambrüesch mountain station, the route leads past the ski lift valley station, follows the edge of the piste for a while, then turns left towards Mittelmaiensäss. Snow-laden fir trees line the way, and between the forest sections the view opens onto the surrounding mountain landscape. The peaks above Lenzerheide, including the Parpaner Rothorn, mark the horizon. The landscape is especially idyllic near Seznis, where the view extends up to the Dreibündenstein (2160 m above sea level).
Upon arrival at the Edelweiss Hut, you can take a break on the large sun terrace. Those who wish to continue the ascent can make a detour to the Malixeralp. The direct return path from the hut back to Brambrüesch is a bit steeper. Those doing it with children can pull them up on sleds and then enjoy a fast ride down to the mountain station.
Especially for the little ones, there is a signposted theme trail: Brambi, the squirrel from the picture book by Anita Hächler and Mike Wielath, accompanies children with his stories via illustrations on boards along the entire circular route.
