Windegg - Chrutmettli - Axalp

The Axalp – Windegg chair lift transports you comfortably over the winter landscape to the starting point for the hike. Upon arriving at the Windegg summit station, the Restaurant Spycher is an inviting place to stop for a quick bite to eat. Then, it’s time to set off on the winter trail towards Chrutmettli / Restaurant Hilten and back to the Axalp. The trail is well prepared and descends through snow fields and forests to Chrutmettli and the Restaurant Hilten, where you are greeted by a wonderful panorama of the emerald-blue Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. From the Restaurant Hilten the path then heads through snow-covered forests back to the Axalp.
