Walk Gürbefall

Description
A leisurely walk leads from the watershed to the Gürbefall and back the same way. Starting points are the parking lots at the watershed, at the lower Türlibode, or the PostBus stop.
The wide Alpine path passes the ski lift restaurant, which is also open in summer, and continues towards Alp Chueberg. After crossing a first creek trench, you reach the still small Gürbe over Alpine pastures. In early summer, the Gürbefall spectacularly plunges down the limestone rocks of the Tschingelfluh to the upper right.
With some luck, fossilized shells can be discovered in the scree after crossing the creek. A memorial plaque on the large boulder in the alpine meadow commemorates an avalanche accident in 1946 in which two brothers lost their lives – hence the name “Bös Tritt”.
The return route follows the same path, past Alp Chuebärg, where a refreshment hut invites you to stop in summer.
