W28 Gstaad - Eggli - Saanen - Gstaad

Enjoyable hike for beginners and connoisseurs up to the pleasure and local mountain of Gstaad. When the cable car is open, altitude meters can be saved and above all a fine meal can be enjoyed in the Eggli Lounge. A stopover is worthwhile. The descent is leisurely and offers great views over the ridge to Saanen. And from there back to Gstaad. First, it goes to the sports center of Gstaad, where you can later conclude the hike in warm water. From the sports center, the path winds through forests and pastures in many zigzags about 520m up to the Eggli. The path is varied and winds slowly but steadily higher. There are few views, but many changes in vegetation. On the Eggli, beautiful views await, and in spring and autumn the Eggli Lounge invites you to stop for a break. After the well-deserved refreshment, the path slowly and steadily goes down a ridge of the Eggli to Saanen. The views towards the Eggli and Gastlosen mountain ranges are beautiful. In Saanen, you can either take the train or post bus back to Gstaad or leisurely walk along the Saane river.
