W16 Horneggli - Hornberg - Horneggli (Flower Trail)

A chairlift takes us from Schönried to the starting point of the Horneggli hike. The chairlift runs five minutes from the railway station. Ideal for travelers arriving by train.

Two sections of this circular route lead around the Hornfluh. A third, steep section is on the way up to the Hornfluh. Apart from the third section, the paths are easy to walk. The best time of year is between late June and mid-September.

This hike also includes the Flower Trail. It gives an impression of what blooms at around 1800 m above sea level. Those less interested in the variety of flowers enjoy at various points the beautiful panorama into the green Saanenland and beyond. To the north, the Gastlosen chain can be seen, and to the south the glacier mountains Wildstrubel and Wildhorn.
