Vitznauer/Gersauerstock (Wissiflue to Hinterbergen)

Already the two mountain railways from Vitznau to Wissiflue and back from Hinterbergen at the same place are an attraction. Also the border summit between Lucerne's Vitznau and Schwyz's Gersau with the comprehensive panoramic view and two crosses - one facing Vitznau, the other facing Gersau. However, the approach is fairly steep and the descent partly exposed. Wire ropes and a small ladder help, but do not replace good footwear and surefootedness. If both are available, nothing diminishes a wonderful, not too long mountain adventure.
