Village walk Sarnen

The walk starts at Sarnen train station heading west to the former Löwenapotheke. On the right side of the street stands the double house am Grund. We follow the Grossgasse past the village chapel to the village square.

At the village square, we cross the Sarneraa; on the left-hand side, we see the town hall. A short detour takes us up to Landenberg, where we enjoy the wonderful view. We go back down the same way and follow Kirchstrasse parallel to the Sarneraa, past the Witch or Powder Tower to the parish church of St. Peter and Paul. Heading east, we go down the street, turn right after crossing the Sarneraa, and follow the Aa along to the harbor bar and the pier of the motor ship Seestern.

Now we leave the lake behind to return to the village. Passing the cinema on the right, we turn left and follow the street. We pass the Kollegikirche and then turn left to follow Wilerstrasse. Before the Sarneraa, we cross the street and walk leisurely along the Sarneraa back toward the village square. Shortly before the town hall, we turn right and follow Rathausgasse to Brünigstrasse. After the Obwaldnerhof, we follow Bahnhofstrasse back to the starting point.
