ViaJacobi, stage 28: Huttwil - Burgdorf

The route starts either at Huttwil or Burgdorf railroad station. If you start in Huttwil, the route first takes you past neighborhoods and a village sawmill to the beginning of the forest. Along the slopes, the trail follows the spruce forest, which lies next to fertile fields. After an ascent, you reach Chaltenegg, from where the trail leads to Dürrenroth. In Dürrenroth, you can fill your water bottle at the drinking fountain or stop off at one of the inns. For those who prefer to bring their own food and drink, we recommend hiking a little further up the Lueg and resting at the "Denkmal Lueg" rest area. Equipped with a fireplace and a wonderful view over the Napf region and the Emmental, this is the perfect place to enjoy your "Zvieri" (snack in the afternoon around 16:00). Afterwards, the descent to the destination of Burgdorf begins.
