Description
We start at the mountain inn Tiefenbach. Here the path ascends up to Tätsch. Soon we reach the highest point at Gespenderboden. From now on it only goes down gently. After first walking on a wide path built for avalanche control structures, the trail becomes narrow but easy to walk. At Lochbergegg we are already above Realp. Below us we see the protective forest which, together with the avalanche barriers, protects Realp from avalanches.
After crossing the Lochbergbach there is a slightly tricky section. We cross a short slope on a narrow path. But after a few meters, we are back on level terrain. We pass through Lipferstein and come to a beautiful rest area at Blauseeli. Here we are about halfway.
For almost three kilometers we now hike level towards Bäz and can enjoy the view. Especially the view towards the 3 Alpine passes Furka, Gotthard, and Oberalp is stunning.
The descent begins via Hospental. A short section leads along a narrow path to Moos. Now a wide and beautiful hiking trail leads us along the golf course towards Andermatt. From Hospental, you can reach the end point of the hike at the Andermatt train station in just one hour.
