Uetliberg Planet Trail: From Zurich into space and back

The planet trail on the Uetliberg combines exercise in nature with exciting insights into our solar system. The starting point is the Uetliberg railroad station, from where the trail initially winds its way through forests and over clear heights.

Along the well-signposted route, the planets of our solar system are depicted to scale on information boards and models. In this way, you not only experience the scenic highlights of Zurich's local mountain, but also get a feel for the vast distances in space with every step. The hiking trail is pleasant to walk on and remains varied throughout, be it through short forest crossings, light sections with great views of Zurich and Lake Zurich or small resting places with panoramic views.

The route ends after a good 1 1/2 hours at the mountain station of the Adliswil-Felsenegg cable car. If you prefer, you can take the comfortable train down to the valley or walk along the Felseneggweg to Adliswil railroad station - or take the path back to the starting point.
