Description

This circular hike starts in the small Graubünden village of Versam and leads into the wild and romantic Rhine Gorge - often referred to as the "Swiss Grand Canyon". The trail winds through sparse forests, over open heights with far-reaching views and down to quiet gravel banks on the banks of the young Rhine. Along the way, the vertical, bright limestone walls towering up to 300 meters above the turquoise-green water are impressive. Depending on the route, there are several viewing platforms such as "Islabord" or quiet spots right by the water.

The combination of wild rock formations, calm river passages and lush vegetation makes this tour a real nature experience.
