Thurgau Circular Hiking Trail (Hauptwil – Amriswil)

In Hauptwil, cross the dam of the Hauptwil pond. Then continue over the dam of the Horbacher pond to a resting place and along the reed belt to the Rüti pond. After a short descent to Tobelmüli, follow the Sitter river to the Gertau restaurant. The ferry over the Sitter river saves a detour via Lütschwil. However, it only operates during the summer season.

After leaving the ferry, you will encounter the beautiful chapel of St. Nicholas and Santa Magdalena in Degenau. Passing by Blidegg castle, you climb to the hamlet of the same name and cross the main road there. Via Rotzenwil, you reach the southern edge of Hudelmoos.

From the southern edge of the moor, the path leads over Hueb to the water castle Hagenwil and through the hamlet of Gizenhus, you finally reach the Palmensteg bridge and then continue to the station in Amriswil.
