The Wolfstobel church path

Part of this path leads over a former church path, the Wolfstobel. About 350 years ago, churchgoers used this path to get to the church service in Lipperswil. In 1664, this was the starting point for the Wigoltingerhandel, which cost two Wigoltingers their heads and nearly led to a civil war in the old Swiss Confederation.
