The winter enjoyment round on the sunny side W1

The gondola takes you from the valley station of Firstbahn to Bort station. From there, the signposted sledging path mostly leads through the forest to the mountain inn Waldspitz, where hungry visitors can enjoy the wonderful sun terrace. The path continues past snowy alpine huts of the Bachlänger. After a final ascent, the well-frequented winter hiking trail is reached, which leads left to Bachalpsee and right to the mountain inn First. We keep to the right and reach First in a short time. Here you can rest wonderfully with a fantastic view of the massive peaks of Eiger, Schreck- and Wetterhorn. At the end, the descent to Bort station is taken on the winter hiking and sledging path, in order to then take the gondola back to Grindelwald.
