Description

Main road, mountain road and natural road: The first kilometers lead through the districts of Solothurn and Langendorf. Through Heimlisbergwald you reach Lommiswil. The Althüsli road requires patience. Long, steep stretches that seem never-ending. Perseverance. From the Egg steeply down and up again on the other side. You reach the Bergwirtschaft Althüsli, the starting point for climbing the Hasenmatt (1445 m). The descent to the Bergwirtschaft Schauenburg is slippery and rough. Balance exercise. Then continue towards Oberes Brüggli. Shortly before it becomes narrow and steep. Dismounting and pushing is recommended. The descent to Selzach is fast. In Altreu many roofs are populated by stork nests. Always along the Aare it goes comfortably back to Solothurn. Alternatively, in the summer months in Altreu you can board the scheduled boat of the Bielersee Shipping Company towards Solothurn. Pure enjoyment.
